The Lawrence Hall of Science at the University of California, Berkeley developed the Full Option Science System (FOSS), a research-based science curriculum for grades K-8. The guide Taking FOSS Outdoors covers management of time, space, and students; teaching strategies; flow of lessons; and elementary-level environmental education.
